An Exercise in Frustration
Light Kit for Lego Colosseum #10276 was my first LMB purchase. Image of final product looked great and the Black Friday sale was a great price.
Based on my experience, I would say approach with caution for the following reasons: 1) The cable connectors and expansion boards are VERY small. If you have 'normal' hands / fingers, you're going to find it very challenging. 2) Use a magnifying glass and an extra light source, 3) The cable connectors are NOT labelled very well for the expansion ports - even with the soldered marks on the boards. I wish there had been a better way to identify the alignment of the components. If you get it wrong - you run the risk of overheating the board. It was hard enough to make the connection without double-checking the alignment.
I ultimately abandoned the project half-way through. I just couldn't complete the connections after several attempts. I now have a collection of wires, etc., in storage. I might get brave and try again later - or perhaps repurpose the lights for a much smaller set.
