Description

The LEGO Carousel (10257) is an ultra-realistic take on the classic and much-beloved carnival ride. Developed as part of the Creator Expert line, the Carousel is packed with intricate details with additional functional parts that allows the model to rotate and move like the real thing!

Carnivals are all about popcorn, candyfloss and classic rides like the Carousel. Nostalgia and joy are to be had when riding this all-ages attraction - and LEGO has captured all the fun and wholesomeness in this 2,660 piece build.

Carnivals are attractions that operate both day and night, and it's nighttime where Light My Bricks comes in. Our custom designed LEGO light kit contains all the lighting components you'll need to make your LEGO Carousel a fully functioning and attractive ride in the dark.

Our easy to install LEGO light up kit contains a whopping 60 individual lights that are designed to fit perfectly in this dynamic, moving LEGO set. LED lights adorn the ornate decorations that line the roof of the carousel, while flashing lights below bring the true carnival spirit.

Turn the LEGO Carouse from a great set into something truly spectacular. Whether this model is on display by itself or part of your own LEGO town, our LEGO lighting kit is the perfect complement to bring your set to life.

Orders are dispatched the next business day or the same day* if placed before 12PM (MDT). Our orders are delivered using Canada Post and are typically delivered between 4-6 business days subject to delivery conditions.

Lovely kit, some limitations

This is a lovely lighting kit that augments an already great set. It's relatively easy to install (I found it much more straightforward than the Roller Coaster, for example). It's repetitive in a good way. And I love how hidden all of the cables are within the canopy - it's seamless.

However, there are a couple of limitations that prevent it going from 'good' to 'great':

1) I find it to be a pain to switch on the power bank. The instructions suggest leaving one of the canopy pieces partially open for ease of access, but IMO this affects the aesthetic of the LEGO set. So usually I have to spend a few minutes poking the canopy to locate the power bank, then have faff about lifting it and switching on the power bank. Sometimes I try going from underneath and switching on the power that way, meaning that I don't have to touch the canopy.

2) This is a related point, but being limited to a power bank is an issue for me. I wish I could connect this to the mains - and indeed to other fairground sets - while maintaining the playability of the set. I note that the Ferris Wheel 2.0 kit has a new rotating connecting cable - please, LMB, make this available as a DIY component! If that would solve the issue for the Carousel, it would bring this up to 5 stars.

But overall I'm satisfied with the kit - it's just not perfect.

Great Kit, just a Little Daunting When You Pull Out All those Lights!

This is one of the better kits, the carousel looks amazing when it's all lit up. Hiding the wires will be tough. Leaving them just laying about is just not satisfactory to me so I'm going to attempt to run the wire along the LEGO bricks to hide them a bit better.

Also, REALLY wish the bottom was lit up. I'm going to see what I can do to do this, will just make the set look better.

Lovely kit, some limitations
