Where it all started

The LEGO® Modular Buildings series is the reason Light My Bricks™ exists. Whether it's a single building on a shelf or an entire city taking over the spare room, there's nothing quite like the moment the lights come on and the whole street comes to life with lighting kits for LEGO® Modular Buildings. We've been chasing that moment since Cafe Corner, and we haven't stopped yet. If you collect them, we light them. Every building. Every era. Every hidden croissant.

Dedicated to accuracy

Your eyes can deceive you.

Your Modular Building collection is your own. Maybe it's a neat row across a shelf. Maybe it's a sprawling city that's taken over the dining table and isn't vacating. However you arrange it, rearrange it, or pull it apart to show someone the interiors, our lighting system keeps up. That's why every light kit we've designed for LEGO® Modular Buildings uses our unique touch plate components for clean separation, and multi-kit power connection so your whole layout can run from a single source.

From Cafe Corner to Shopping Street.
One street. One power source. Max aura.

The Shopping Street Lego set is even more beautiful with the addition of the Light Kit for Lego Shopping Street #11371. It is bright where it is needed and warm in others. I love the way it looks next to the Hotel Boutique. It is truly beautiful!

About Light My Bricks

We never stopped being fans.

It started with a modular street that looked incredible during the day and disappeared every evening. We wanted more from our own collection, so we built a light kit for one building, then the next, then the whole street. Today we have a lighting kit for every LEGO® Modular Building ever released, from Cafe Corner to Shopping Street. We know the Town Hall's date reads as the LEGO® founder's birth year. We know the Boutique Hotel's reception desk has the same phone from the Police Station. We know where the frogs are hiding. The obsession never stopped. It just got better at its job.

Collapsible content

How do Light My Bricks modular building light kits handle multi-story floor separation?

All Light My Bricks modular building kits include Flux Touch Plates, a wireless power connector, so individual floors lift off for interior access without cables linking them. Each connection point uses one set of Plate A and Plate B, so a floor with three separate circuits needs three sets.

What is the best way to light up a LEGO® Modular Street display?

A LEGO® modular street display is best lit by lighting each set, and then linking multiple dedicated building kits together. You can safely power multiple buildings and an entire street using a high-capacity USB Power Bank or USB Wall Adapter while ensuring your setup respects the maximum 5V, 2.4A input limits.

Do modular light kits illuminate exterior street lamps as well as interiors?

Yes. All Light My Bricks modular building kits include pre-assembled LED street lamp posts that replace the original LEGO® lamp posts, delivering street-level illumination alongside warm interior room lighting.

How many modular building light kits can be powered from a single USB power source?

The number of Light My Bricks modular building kits one power source can run depends on the total number of lights in the circuit. One Light My Bricks USB Wall Adapter powers up to 400 LEDs in total across its two ports, so add up the LEDs across your kits and stay under that total. Every LED in a light string counts, so a string of 11 LEDs counts as 11. On a USB Power Bank, more lights draw more power and shorten runtime. Flux Touch Plates connecting the floors add no power restriction. Use only a Light My Bricks power source rated 5V, 2.4A.

Do I need to buy extra components to light my LEGO® Modular Buildings?

Every Light My Bricks light kit is an all-in-one package with the lights and connecting cables needed to illuminate that specific set, plus a USB-C Flux Cable and 3D instructions. The power source is sold separately: use a Light My Bricks USB Wall Adapter for continuous display or a Light My Bricks USB Power Bank for portable use, rated 5V, 2.4A.

How do Light My Bricks LED lighting kits work?

Light My Bricks kits are dedicated LED lighting systems engineered specifically for LEGO® sets. Each kit uses 0.2mm ribbon-thin flat cables designed to fit between LEGO® studs and plates without gaps, and reverse polarity connectors that plug in at any orientation.

How are Light My Bricks light kits powered?

Light My Bricks light kits run on a low-voltage 5V, 2.4A USB input. For continuous display, connect the kit to a Light My Bricks USB Wall Adapter, which powers up to 400 LEDs in total across its two USB ports, or to a Light My Bricks USB Power Bank. For mobile displays, the Flux Pack uses 6x AAA batteries and has a 4-stage dimmer for medium-sized kits, and the compact Power Brick 2.0 uses 2x CR2032 batteries to power up to six LEDs when combined with docks. Light My Bricks recommends only its own power sources. Other adapters, including higher-voltage ones, are used at the customer's own risk and are not covered by warranty.

Why are Light My Bricks light kits more expensive than generic LED options?

Light My Bricks kits cost more than generic LED options because each kit is a complete lighting system researched and designed for one specific LEGO® set. Each kit uses 0.2mm ribbon-thin flat cables that tuck inside brick channels, brick-compatible components that clutch onto LEGO® studs with no glue or adhesive, built-in smart fuse protection, components certified to CE, UKCA, FCC, RCM and RoHS standards and set-specific light effects, with 3D instructions written for that build. Our manufacturers are also audited to Sedex and BSCI ethical trade standards.

Is it better to install a Light My Bricks kit during or after building your set?

Light My Bricks kits can be installed during or after the build, and the finished result is identical. Light As You Build suits a set that has not been started: follow the Light My Bricks 3D guide from the first brick and each lighting component is added at the point it fits most cleanly, so the set is fully lit when the last brick goes on. Light After Build is for completed sets, with no time limit, including sets built years ago. The guide shows which large sections to separate and in what order.

Do Light My Bricks light kits damage or permanently alter LEGO® bricks?

No, Light My Bricks light kits are completely non-destructive and fully reversible. Components clutch onto LEGO® studs with no glue or adhesive, so nothing can damage or discolor the bricks. The 0.2mm ribbon-thin flat cables run inside the brick channels without forcing, modifying, or gluing any original pieces, and removing the lighting leaves the set exactly as it was.
